Although Durham is just down the road a few miles, you will feel like you are on a train to Paradise(12 miles and 1200 feet up the hill) when you ride this bike. And since the train doesn't stop in Durham why not take the Express for a fast, easy, comfortable, and timely arrival at work, no sweat. Because of the 'Magic Hands' hand-welded frame, this bike is faster and less work than racing bikes costing hundreds more. The suspension-ready geometry has been matched with a rigid Kona P2 fork that is secure and solid without being bumpy. Smooth, high thread-count commuter tires are used instead of knobbies. The wheels are a common production type that we have gone over, giving them proper tension and stress relief and then re-trueing them. The Shimano shift sysetm and other components are decent but inexpensive, resulting in an amazing bike at an amazing price. Weight is 23.8 pounds. This one is a 15" frame, typically fitting a rider whose height is between 5'3" and 5'9", depending on their proportions.
